Against the backdrop of our international growth strategy, we have given an overhaul to the management team of Logisfashion Chile with the appointment of Felipe Miranda as the new Country Manager, with a view to backing its growth and positioning it amongst the standout logistics firms in the country, while also bolstering the value proposal throughout the supply chain, centralizing part of its logistical operations in Latin America.
An appointment that entails major backing for the Chilean market, a cornerstone of our development in Latin America, alongside the fostering and acknowledgement of local talent.
“For Logisfashion, Chile has always been a truly relevant and cutting-edge market in Latin America for its drive, stability and innovation. We wish to continue bolstering our presence and the incorporation to our team of Felipe Miranda as the new Country Manager will help us to improve on the solid results we have obtained in recent years even more.” stated Diego Larrañaga, Chief Operations Officer at Logisfashion.
All of the foregoing is aligned with our international growth strategy. This is such that Logisfashion Chile has not solely increased its billing, recording growth rates of 43% at the close of 2023, moreover, it has also doubled its operational capacity in the last two years through the opening of new centers, thus boasting operational surface space of 90,000m2 spread over Chile (plus the 500,000m2 on hand at Group level).
In this point, the need to increase operational surface space is the result of major growth level experience over recent years in the Chilean subsidy, mainly thanks to e-Commerce and last mile transport. “These new logistics hubs do not solely strengthen our value proposal throughout the supply chain, moreover, they also allow us to centralize a major part of logistical operations in Chile, offering thus a more effective service to our customers” explained Felipe Miranda, Country Manager for Logisfashion in Chile.
Growing in terms of double figures and multiplying our operational capacity since the onset of activities in Chile.
The electronic commerce market in Chile has undergone exponential development in recent years, becoming thus one of the most dynamic and high-flying sectors in the Chilean economy. This hitherto uncharted growth has increased demand for efficient and scalable logistics services, thereby boosting development and expansion for those logistics firms capable of swiftly adapting to new market trends. Alongside offering groundbreaking solutions that meet customers’ needs within an increasingly more competitive setting.
With this outlook in mind, since the onset of our activities in the Chilean market in 2017 with the opening of our first 14,000m2 logistics hub, our growth within the country’s logistics sector has been unstoppable. Presently, we boast major logistics centers offering state-of-the-art facilities located in Santiago de Chile operational surface space reaching 90,000m2 With this, positive billing and growth figures are being obtained.
Growth in terms of the number of e-Commerce articles handled has been noteworthy between 2020 and 2022, when the turnover of articles attained growth levels of 500%. From almost 3 million articles processed in 2022, this figure increased to approximately 9 million in 2023.
With regard to billing, at the close of the 2023 fiscal year, we attained an increase of 43%, which boils down to 15.5 million euros. A series of figures that coincide with the growth of our customer portfolio in Chile, where we work alongside more than 25 clients, amongst which the brands H&M, Falabella, Ripley, Ellus, Carolina Herrera, Purificación García, Karün, Prüne, Gotta, Bestseller, Salvatore Ferragamo, Spalding, Golden Goose are worthy of special mention, plus major fashion multinationals, amongst others.
Our backing in Chile is unwavering and entails continuing to expand our investment program and ability to provide a response to operations on a major scale in line with the growing trend of e-Commerce, while also boosting our customer portfolio. Through this strategy, we aim to continue to move up in the ranking of logistics firms in Chile to position ourselves in the coming years in the country’s top 3. All of the foregoing to offer effective, reliable, flexible logistics while displaying out firm commitment to all our customers’ business lines.
