The Virgen del Rosario public school in Ontígola has received a donation of Personal Protective Equipment from Logisfashion, a Spanish multinational specialising in logistics applied to fashion and lifestyle, which has a centre in this Toledo town. In particular, 1,200 children’s and adult’s masks and more than 10 litres of hydroalcoholic gel have been provided.
The Parents’ Association of the Virgen del Rosario school in Toledo had requested help to face the difficult situation of the school and to continue the education of its more than 350 students, in early childhood and primary education, as well as its teachers, seeking to offer the highest guarantees of safety and prevention against the Coronavirus.
The donation of the material took place this same month of November in the school itself, where it was given to Noelia Melero, secretary of the Parents’ Association of the Virgen del Rosario public school in Ontígola.
With this initiative, which the company has managed together with its suppliers, “they intend to do their bit in the face of this unusual situation that we are in and in which all the members that are part of this community have had to adapt”, explains Gema Díaz, head of prevention of Logisfashion.
On her part, Mercedes López, HR manager in the company, explains that “when this application arrived at our centre in Ontígola we did not hesitate for a second to offer our help to the local school, as well as its students and teachers”.
The company has emphasised that it maintains its commitment to the town and the community that has hosted its two headquarters in Castilla La Mancha and to the fulfilment of its global corporate social responsibility objectives, prioritising the local initiatives that arise in the communities where it has seven logistics centres located throughout the Spanish territory.
