We want to take advantage here to thank GANT for the trust it has placed in Logisfashion to manage its logistics in both Spain and Portugal, with the aim of achieving its main logistics objectives, which include raising its productivity and reaching different markets from a strategic hub in western Europe.
At Logisfashion, we have managed the operations of the distributor for several years, but now the challenge is to restructure the management of their Supply Chain to offer the maximum optimisation of processes with state-of-the-art technological tools.
GANT, originally from the United States, is known for having shaped “preppy fashion” for more than seven decades. From its beginnings as a shirt manufacturer, to its pioneering commitment to American sportswear, GANT has continued to evolve its signature look for today’s modern consumer. The firm, which is part of the brand portfolio of the Swiss group MF Brand (The Kooples, Lacoste…), operates from its headquarters in Stockholm and is present in 70 markets through 750 points of sale. In Spain, it has been present since the nineties through a distributor, but in 2020 it decided to directly manage its operations in our country, in which it has a network of six of its own stores, in addition to some 66 points of sale in El Corte Inglés.
Martin Mattson, head of the general management of Gant Iberia, has stated that “the Spanish market is strategically important for Gant and fits with the ambition of increasing the brand’s presence throughout Europe”. In this sense, as the executive explains, “we were looking for a logistics partner that was aligned to the new management model of the brand and which can support us in an integral way throughout our entire growth”.
After having selected Logisfashion to manage its logistics operations in Spain and Portugal, and through previous work lasting several months for the successful implementation of the project, the logistics operations will begin this June at the Logisfashion Cabanillas 3 centre.
“We at Logisfashion are approaching this project with great enthusiasm. Now we start the most beautiful and creative part of our work. The part which allows us, once the level and quality of service is guaranteed, to dedicate ourselves to the study of operations, to be able to transfer to our clients all the efficiencies identified through our processes of continuous improvement and operational excellence”, explains Álvaro Los Arcos,, Head of E-Commerce at Logisfashion.
