In this post, you will find out how this alliance can turn challenges into opportunities, allowing your company to thrive in today’s competitive market.
Write down this address! AV. Troncal de Occidente # 20-85 Bodega 4ª Mosquera Cundinamarca, in Colombia. That’s our centre in the Western Free Trade Zone, through which we can offer you all the tax, customs and logistics benefits of this type of territory, giving local and foreign companies a unique platform to expand, innovate and access international markets.
Its main perks include:
1.- Strategic Location
Thanks to its prime location, remarkably close to Bogotá and the main cities of Colombia, as well as to the country’s ports and El Dorado Airport, with wide and well-maintained roads that allow for fluid traffic, the Western Free Trade Zone offers national and international brands a strategic geographical position as a gateway to South America. In this way, goods are moved with maximum efficiency, reducing delivery times and increasing reliability.
Furthermore, by counting on Logisfashion Colombia with its first-class infrastructure, you’ll have an ideal platform for expanding into international markets, taking advantage of Colombia’s trade agreements with other countries and regions, a big plus in free zone regulations.
2.-Tariff-free imports and exports
Goods entering our Free Trade Zone centre from abroad or from the national customs territory are exempt from all types of customs duties and tariffs, which facilitates the import of raw materials and the export of finished products.
This allows you to go international and export your products dosing out the payment of taxes thanks to the partial nationalisation of your inventory, in order to alleviate your cashflow.
In addition, we can advise you on the various simplified customs processes, thanks to our team of experts.
3.-Reduced rates on income tax
This is one of the new features of the Colombian government’s internationalisation plan: companies operating in the country’s Free Trade Zones, including the Western Free Trade Zone, will benefit from a special 20% rate on income tax. Much lower than the general rate applicable to companies operating outside these Zones, which is 35%.
4.- Ease in handling goods
In this Free Trade Zone, unlimited storage of foreign goods is permitted without payment of customs duties, as well as transformation, assembly and any other industrial process without being subject to the usual customs procedures, until they are nationalised or re-exported. In this way, industrial users can temporarily remove capital goods, parts and spare parts from the Western Free Trade Zone without nationalising them in order to repair them in Colombia.
In fact, nationalisation of goods is carried out only when the goods are sold or withdrawn to Colombia.
5.- Green Free Trade Zone
The Western Free Trade Zone has infrastructure and urban planning designed to manage natural resources efficiently and sustainably. An ecosystem designed around the circular economy that makes it a green free trade zone, as it is part of the UNIDO Eco-Industrial Parks programme and the UN Global Compact.
Therefore, this free trade zone has carried out noteworthy actions in recent years such as creating a rainwater management system, through an artificial lagoon measuring over 32 thousand cubic meters, which collects rainwater for use in irrigation and industrial processes, thereby reducing its water footprint and conserving this vital resource. This as well as a wastewater processing plant or a waste processing programme, among many other actions.
Always up to date with their clients’ needs
Free Trade Zones in Colombia are managed by the DIAN (government entity responsible for taxes), which determines which administrators operate them. In this case, the administrative entity is the Western Free Trade Zone, which authorises logistics operators such as Logisfashion to work within this territory.
In this way, we have received this training, which has led the Western Free Trade Zone to give us its approval to begin operating.
Ultimately, at Logisfashion we strive to improve day by day to offer the best services to our clients, always focused on the efficiency of the entire supply chain. We will be waiting for you in Colombia’s Western Free Trade Zone!
