Logisfashion backs a more equal and sustainable present and future

RSC Logisfashion

Social Corporate Responsibility is a standpoint that has accompanied us since our firm came into being in 1996. Because being well aware that an organisation like Logisfashion must manage the impact that its activity generates in local communities, we have always shown our willingness to help create a sustainable and responsible future in all of them as another member of society. We take pride in investing in the places where we have a presence and repaying their faith with our time, effort and knowledge.

Furthermore, we are logistics firm specialising in fashion, in which integration and equality are watchwords.  Two values that have allowed us to build a standout team, comprised of 60.4% women, some of them victims of gender violence; or people with mobility issues, who, thanks to their professionalism and talent, motivate us every day to continue growing and overcome all the challenges that arise.

Actions with which we aim to contribute a small grain of sand to improve these regions and have a positive impact on customers, who view in Logisfashion a trustworthy partner in tune with their social and humanitarian values. Therefore, all these actions are framed within the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we have set for ourselves:

SDG 5 – Gender Equality: At Logisfashion, we are fully committed to the incorporation of standout talent into our company, regardless of their gender. For this reason, the company’s Equality Plan places the onus on Sustainable Development Goals like this one, which allows us to focus on personal development and team training.

SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy At Logisfashion, we increasingly take sustainability into account in our entire value chain. We are concerned about environmental protection and, therefore, we have included it in our code of ethics. Because for years we have been seeking efficiency in our facilities as a first step to guarantee to our clients the reduction of emissions and waste. Our commitment is unwavering and, therefore, we have sustainability certifications such as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which are the endorsement that our centers need to certify our commitment to sustainability. Furthermore, we change traditional lighting for LED; we modernize air conditioning, ventilation and heating systems to reduce energy consumption; we commit to automation to reduce incidents and increase efficiency; we use electric vehicles to transport cargo effectively and generate fewer emissions and, of course, while always taking the location into account.

SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: Every day we strive to try to make this company a better place in which to work, to match the standards of the team we have formed. Therefore, we encourage in-house promotions, bolstering our team’s professional pathway, from regular employees to executives, as well as offering international promotions amongst our different offices located abroad. We are entrusted with the responsibility to accompany and foster the growth of our human team. Furthermore, our working ethos includes taking meticulous care of the working environment, safety and team motivation through different programmes that enhance employee involvement with collaborative forums, contests, gamification, follow-up meetings… An initiative that fosters a respectful and convivial working environment .

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: Toward industrial transformation, with an approach based on ongoing improvement and innovation, at Logisfashion, we remain steadfast in our backing to reinvest 9% of our invoicing in technology and developing in-house tools with a view to providing the flexibility and scalability required by our customers. With regard to automation, our commitment entails the implementation of flexible robotics that allows us to improve the relationship between efficiency in business and streamlining operations.

ODS 10 – Reduced inequalities: at Logisfashion, we boast an extensive staff training plan and employment options for the most disadvantaged sectors, aimed at offering the same opportunities to all groups in society, thanks to technological evolution and improvements in employment legislation. These policies provide a major opportunity for us to attract and retain talent. Regardless of their nationality, gender, sexual orientation, political or religious views. We are blinded solely by their TALENT.

SDG 13 – Climate Action: At Logisfashion, we have a manual of good practices in which we determine a number of requirements that need to be taken into account in order to continue advancing on the path to sustainability. Amongst these, streamlining the layout by reducing the working distances of the machines and reducing the number of movements of merchandise and personnel; optimizing the machine park and reviewing consumption; overseeing the cleanliness and tidiness within the centres; reusing pallets and packaging or correctly separating the waste generated. Without overlooking preventive maintenance tasks that ensure the efficiency of the equipment and all the elements of the installation, thereby reducing the risks of environmental impact. Requirements that have to be assumed to be responsible with the environment and our society.

Currently, we are a flagship organisation in the market for logistics services specialized in fashion and eCommerce, with more than 4,000 workers and 28 hubs boasting 550,000 m2 spread across 6 countries, where we offer and design comprehensive, innovative and tailor-made logistics solutions that add value. while similarly improving the efficiency and productivity of our customers anywhere worldwide. In all of them, located in places with major employment demand, we are committed to their people and values:

Spain, a highly Collaborative Culture in place

RSC Logisfashion

To foster a collaborative culture, at Logisfashion we have embarked upon activities and collaborations with different Associations and educational centres throughout the year, to incorporate into our workforce people at risk of social exclusion, with limited mobility and in reintegration into the workforce.

Thus, in our hub located in Santa María de Palautordera, we liaise with the Montilivi Institute (Girona) through internships; with the Baix Montseny Institute or the Pia School of Granollers to incorporate talent among their students.

At Riudellots, we liaise with the TRESC Foundation, which works for the socio-occupational inclusion of people with disabilities and mental health disorders in the regions of Girona. There are presently three people employed by the company thanks to this collaboration.

In Ontígola, a small town in the province of Toledo, we boast an internship programme with the Gaspar Melchor Jovellanos (Fuenlabrada), the Miguel De Ercilla or the Miguel Hernández (both in Ocaña) secondary schools. We have also collaborated with APANAS (association of Families of People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of the province of Toledo), thereby incorporating several workers. Likewise, we take part in the classified jobs listing issued by the Noblejas City Council.

In the city of Toledo, we also back young and local talent with internship programmes with students from the Azarquiel Institute and the Alfonso X El Sabio Secondary Schools. Without leaving to one side the collaboration with the Mujeres Adelante project, dependent on the Ministry of Social Welfare for professional insertion of women who have suffered gender violence; or with APANAS, for the employment inclusion of people with Intellectual Difficulties, incorporating, training and facilitating access to a job for people with intellectual and developmental difficulties belonging to this organisation, with the aim of bolstering their social and employment inclusion .

RSC Logisfashion

While inCabanillas del Campo, located in Guadalajara, we collaborate with the Red Cross by offering our facilities to provide training adapted to long-term unemployed people with a firm commitment to recruit. We have put the spotlight on la Caixa Bank’s ‘Incorpora’ project, whose purpose is to provide employment to people at risk of exclusion. Plus, we give our full support to the Las Encinas Association, engaged in the integration of people with intellectual disabilities. Indeed, we have recruited staff from this programme on a permanent basis which has been co-financed by the European Social Fund.

With A La Par (All Together) (a non-profit organisation that works for the rights and participation of people with intellectual difficulties in society) contracting the details and gifts that we give to employees as a company, such as baskets upon the birth of a child, treats for women’s day, gift for logistics day…

Conversely, we make strident efforts towards hiring people of limited mobility with ACCEM (a non-profit organisation that works to improve the quality of life of refugees and people in situations or at risk of social exclusion), thereto collaborating financially with the Caminando Association (devoted to improving the quality of life of girls and boys of limited mobility and their families) and with the Yunquera Project Association (a non-profit organisation engaged in improving the quality of life of cancer survivors and their families).

We have also joined the endeavors of the ‘The Engine of Your Steps’, to raise awareness and draw attention to rare illnesses. Specifically, regarding Charcot Marie-Tooth syndrome, an illness that affects 18,000 people in Spain, and 2.8 million worldwide. Plus, we also collaborate with Guada Social and the Vasija Association.

Mexico: solidarity and co-existence

Throughout the last few months, in our Mexican logistics hubs, we have made numerous donations to alleviate the consequences of phenomena such as Hurricane Otis in Acapulco, where we delivered essential products to the people who needed them most. Also offering Civil Protection in Tepotzotlán aid by equipping its offices. Or agreements with the Mexican Red Cross.

Not do we cast aside our workers and their families, whom we have wished to acknowledge with internal events such as the Three Kings Filled Donut, the celebration of Candlemas Day with a typical Mexican get-together featuring tamal tasting. Sharing experiences with collaborators’ offspring, etc.

The most sustainable Panama

In our hubs in Panama, we participate in actions such as RECILOGIS, an environmental education campaign that develops a recycling project in educational centers to train students as future responsible citizens with the environment. Grounded on supporting the educational community, this helps promote waste separation in schools.

Alongside recycling in schools, it provides an active and pragmatic tool to develop innovative and dynamic educational experiences. Through its different resources, a common project can be worked on collaboratively, making recycling a habit that becomes part of school life and dynamics.

Colombia accompanies our senior citizens

In Colombia, we also devise several actions aimed at supporting the elderly, such as our collaboration with the Hogar de Paso Foundation, with which we conduct visits to perform handicrafts or activities with our senior citizens. A small way of saying “we are here for you”, while bringing a little relief to those who need it most.

We are also committed to the environment with collaborations with foundations such as “Tapas para sanar” (Lids to Heal), carrying out campaigns to collect recyclable material or reforesting forests. And being supportive by supporting people suffering from cancer or with collection centres in each warehouse, where we separate at the source and, with the money raised, we are able to organize well-being activities for our communities.

Logisfashion Chile always at the side of its employees

At Logisfashion Chile, we embark upon a multitude of CSR actions for our team: at the beginning of each last day of the month, we celebrate the birthday of all those who have notched up another year over the last 30 days with a cake and singing happy birthday to them.

For Easter, we leave chocolate eggs with a message at each working station. Or for Mother’s Day, when we always leave a gift with a positive message to mothers, this year they have been glasses that have been manufactured from recycled glass bottles.
